The Washington, named for the hometown of Missouri Meerschaum, is a step above the ordinary corn cob pipe and is part of a series of mid-sized, filtered pipes. The 5th Avenue medium sized bowl is double filled and spray varnished with a smooth, light-colored finish. Popularly priced, higher-grade straight corn cob with black bit stem completes the classic appearance. Accepts 6 mm filters. The oldest and largest corncob pipe makers since 1869, their cobs are grown only for them to exacting specifications. After proper curing, they are transformed into genuine Missouri Meerschaums.
